wiglet I ran pretty well but the heat got to me later on - lay under 2 duvets shivering and feeling pretty grim for a couple of hours - and most of the route is part of my normal running, so I knew the hills! Unaffiliated 1:35:47 1:40:53 1:40:00 1:40:59 62.70

McCargathon Absolute killer, very late start on very hot day on very hilly course. Great crowds, scenery and support and would definitely do it again. BeaRCats running club 1:42:59 1:50:22 1:53:52 50.92

njosmith Very warm and much hillier than I was expecting. Missed the first couple of mile markers so I had no idea how quick I was going but suspected not quick enough due to congestion. I need to get ahead of the rate to get a good time because I often slow terribly particulalry in longer races. that was the case today and I only got under 1 hr 55 becasue I sprinted down the hill after the copper horse. Rob W Late start (13:00) and hot weather. Lovely scenery and a nice run, limited water at the end and took longer to get out of the car park than to run the race! Probably not worth travelling the distance to do again. Unaffiliated 1:42:05 1:44:31 1:55:22 52.22

ScudULike Will be training like billy-oh to break the magical (for me) 1hr 50mins. Although not the easiest course to do so. The introduction (if it is maintained) of 'zade stops last year will certainly help.

POST RACE: Horrible, horrible - ran whilst still suffering with tummy bug (holding some extra loo roll just in case!). Legs went at 4 miles, stumbled around a very disappointing 15 minutes off my target. Unaffiliated 1:48:57 2:03:50 1:50:00 2:03:50 47.96

Billsy was in good spirits for this despite the heat and the hills but got struck down with a stomach issue at mile 10 which resulted in a few mins lost on a loo stop - otherwise I was on for 2 hrs!! frustrating but glad to finish
