Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Running with babysprog. Very congested at the start but a superb morning. Had to peel off the santa jacket after 4k but got a big Fetch shout from the bloke doing the commentary as we hit the finish line. Well organised and marshalled and we shall be back next year, perhaps with baby grandson. Great to see so many folk out supporting on a Sunday morning and the long trail of Santas running up St. Vincent Street at teh start:)

Can I beat my previous PB time? Running in a full Santa suit with beard.....Ho..Ho..Ho! **UPDATE** Well organised race with a good crowd support for 9.00am in the morning. I felt comfortable throughout and was happy not to push it too much. Passed by two Santa’s but managed to Clause them back in to finish in overall 5th position. Good meeting RosscoB who got another 2nd placing maybe with some extra fairy dust RosscoB might claim that elusive 1st place! Another added bonus was beating Liz McColgan and getting a photo taken together. See the Gallery.

"I just Loved this Race last Year and the 1ST ever "Glasgow-Santa Dash".I was off to a real flyer last time and came home In a very pleasing 2nd Place... So will be going all out this time around to try and claim the IST Place!!! This Is the REAL meaning of Xmas! /UPDATE: 2ND Place again for the second year running at this Race, not the 1st that I was searcing for!! Though I smashed last year's time and I recorded a New 5K PB.I was very pleased with how I performed the Race today.Led from the Start at a very frantic+fast pace then just before 2k got overtook by 2 fellow Santa's! Held It together well and was running very strongly when I went Into 2nd position and this Is where I finished.Measured 3.15 Miles on my Garmin! Have to go for 3rd Time lucky next year! Met Fetchie: 'Dodo' and he also had a v.good run today. Also met 'King-Kenny Dalgleish' which was nice to see him.A great fun event for a brill charity & Im ready for Xmas now!

great fun for my first EVER 5k - although I couldn't actually start running until the M8 as the press of santa suits so great!

Running with 11yr old son in his 1st ever run and my 1st ever run dressed up as Santa! We'll be taking it nice and steady. Update : That was good fun. Son told me to "zip it" when I kept asking him how he was doing, at 4k he told me that he could just sprint off a leave me and he wasn't joking. A "family battle" in the home straight, well I didn't want him to outsprint me! Where can I wear my santa outfit to next?!
Finch
Ran with Woody, from the back of the crowd, good pace but took 2k to get past all the many santas!!
Celtic_Jester
Paced my 9 Year old son round his first race.
