The Belly Is Gaun Tae Get Ye
Although outside target,a new PB by 40 min, and under 4 hrs.
Fell off pace at 9M then struggled., but got over it and pushed it hard over last 6m.
What a great place to race! Pretty flat and incredible scenery. The locals were all pretty friendly and encouraging. Got a PB as my first marathon!
out and back course with quite a bit of sun and into the breeze for last 2miles. 1:40-1:42.5 splits so pretty pleased and felt much stronger in the last few miles than 1st marathon, hence the pb. excellent organisation...in particular the drink stops and plenty of food at the end to enjoy. oh, and finishing in sight of those funny shinty goals!
****** Well done Running Postie ******

Started off slower and looked at GPS and av 7:03 at 8m, looked again at 16 and still av 7:03. It felt nice and steady, but still crashed after 17-18 miles. Still a pb
