Bolt Ugh! This felt hard from the outset - and didn't improve any. I couldn't get any rhythm going at all and just spent the morning hanging in there watching as runners continued to come past me. Managed to hold Colin M and Dennis W off but that is all. Had some vague notion of staying with Ian C today but, ha!, seeing Peter C and Becky disappearing into the distance was evidence enough of my lack of fight. Beyond that I just kept thinking of my good performance at Harwich (sigh). Bitterly disappointed with 94th today as all the recent training appears to have drained my legs of enthusiasm. I only hope the training pays dividends by Springfield in a month's time. Course was a good one though...a real one for the road runners as it was mostly on good surfaces. Didn't think the finish section was necessary as, at 5.75 miles, the longest course so far was also rendered a little dangerous by the narrow finish. Harwich Runners 33:33 34:25 37:00 42:21 52.68

Tom Tom Didn't enjoy this one at all! Excellant course, not too muddy (apart from the ploughed field crossing!), but it just didn't seem to be happening for me today :( 8th lady nonetheless, but surprised that more women didn't come past me as I was slowing badly with a stitch on the 2nd lap.
