Well - none of the hills were really big hills.. more the famous 'undulations' but OMG there were a lot of them!!
went out for a pb, died at 10, ran-walked the 2nd 8-mile lap with the target of squeezing sub-3. did so.
FLM warm up
Complete nightmare Died a death at 13 miles and fought all the way after that just to keep running. Gutted. I just didn't have it today. Small crumbs of comfort though - it was a warm day, a tough course and I had a shocker and yet still 29th lady out of almost 300, and in the top third of the field overall.
Would like to beat last year's time of 3:20
Training run for Edinburgh. Great race, and I would say that it was more than undulating!! especially the hill between miles 6 and 8. Excellent hoodie as memento and very pleased with time. 24th place and 4th in the MV35 category.
Great event, well marshalled and excellent hoodie to show for it.
Defo a tough course but it certainly separates those who have done their training from those who haven't.
If I wasn't training for the London marathon I probably wouldn't have entered this race but I am glad I did.
Decided to run this as training run, since I still have this dodgy sore bum muscle thing which thankfully held out for the run. Garmin time due to being near the back at the start. Well organised race with great marshalling and I was told that the bread and butter pudding at race HQ was good. Lovely day, maybe a bit warm in the sun and it was definitely undulating, I thought it would be much flatter for some reason but i have no idea where I got that idea from! Great hoody as race memento. Who else thought the kids in the alleyway were brilliant?
Hilly but good FLM training
Unofficial time, but I'll take it
Last long one for FLM, be glad to get this one over! Struggled last 3/4 miles. 1.09.25 half way. Bloody hills everywhere! Great marshalling & thinks to the two lovely fetchies who set up a fetchpoint at mile 10/18!
Loved it - if you have to run 20 miles (which I do for FLM training) there's no better way of doing it. Gorgeous scenery, really lovely supportive marshalls, and I like the hoodie top so much I might actually wear it!
Training run, but will try to improve....
That was a tough run in the heat and the hills - tried to take things easy but still had a large wobble between 15 and 17 miles. Still, good to get it under the belt, no ill effects and can now look forward to London.
Nice scenic flat course.
great to get a pb but tough old run !
Pink Team 1
This was a warm day. Fairly Hilly. Not my best performance felt short of carbs and dehydrated at the end.
Rolling rolling rolling , move over for the pink team phrases of the day. The pink team were formed here.
Met Kough Kandi and Canary Yellow, Mick and phil.
Was going well until 17 1/2 miles when a car cut me up and forced me to virtually stop. Was difficult to get going again.
Hills of Death (HOD)
Just a training run
