should've done better, but maybe not fully recovered from last week's marathon?
Training run over hills at marathon pace (I hope).
Post race: 3rd. PB by 2 secs. Blimey, didn't think I was in that sort of shape. I must get pissed more often.
Put 2:25 on the form, but anything around 2:30 would be cool.
***UPDATE*** That was the toughest race I have ever run. Ran most of it with Mrs Smudger and really enjoyed the company. My piriformis flared up at start which meant i had to be cautious runnign round. Will be back to better this time next year though
Just wanted to get round as I had a place at FLM and didn't want to injure myself on those hills!
28/10 - Entered Prediction was a bit tough was hoping for 2:30 but a tough course and strond wind, but overall pleased
Breezy but sunny. Felt stong towards the end. Finished 24th so very happy.

Intending to plod around comfortably. *got carried away in the opening mile running near 9 than 10m/m so decided to stick with it. Now have a real glow of satisfaction heightened because i ran the whole way including that final hill.
Really pleased with the run, given the lack of training I'd managed to put in, with it only being a couple of minutes outside my PB
Smudger 3 The slower lioness
I must be mad but like a challenge have just completed my first half doing a second at end of november which i will follow with the folksworth 15.Can i do this yes i can;-);-)Wow wow ive completed my first ever 15 mile road race.Ran with girlie what a charactor she really helped to keep me going. This year ive achieved the distance next year i will improve the time its a tough race but really enjoyed it hope to meet girlie at races in the future:-)xxxx
Should PB on this.*POST RACE* Very hilly but good course. Well orgainised and great marshalls! New PB.
Any time will be a PB for me over this distance but hoping for around 2 hours
New distance and 2 hours seems like a tough but good target, but only 2 weeks after xmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UPDATE Well inside 2 hours so very happy. Never been so happy to take a cornwe (at 12.5) Good tough route well done yaxley
This was a very nice race. Ran with Mick and he ensured we kept to a nice 9min mile pace so we didn't work ourselves too hard. Every hill was tough, but some nice tail winds meant that there were some easy parts too. Felt really good in the last few miles and chattaed all the way round. Think this will make the shorter races seem a bit easier - hopefully! Legs are feeling a bit tight at the mo, but nothing like i expected.
Try to run at around 7:45 pace would be good, especially with those hills
Negative splits of 57:36 first half then 56:16 for the second (windier) half - Thanks Vitalstatistix
Was going well feeling good, but over doing it has ruined any chance of a good time, may not even run it.
Aced it. Don;t think I could have run much better today. Best Folksworth weather in years.
Bloody Hilly and Windy! Did better than I thought considering lack of training. Have to work out how to use my Garmin as it was set in km
Had a good run today, nice event but pretty tough. Watch time of 1:43:46. Good strong last 5 miles, 33:06
tough hilly course so well pleased with time on my first 15 miler.
Just doing this as a very slow training run for Paris.
Update:- Paced Mrs G.
never done race distance before...should be fun!
Unofficial time - what a hoot! First lap good, second lap ok till 14mile hill...then nearly died!
Well done to yaxley for organising a great race!
Picked up the pace on 2nd lap, felt 'reasonably' comfortable with pace, will sleep well tonight.
an old favourite ,wonder what the weather will be this year freezing cold, sunny, downright windy or flooded?
This is a first time race for me, both course and distance so I'm slightly apprehensive. Think I might be too optimistic on my time guesstimate
