LukeStur Managed to break the 3 hour mark for this - just.
It was an absolute killer, just when I thought I had everything under control at about mile 15 they send on for a mile on the beach and then up a huge cliff which nearly finished me off.
I reckon this pretty much equates to a full marathon on the flat. Unbelievably tough. TeamBath AC 2:09:24 2:57:00 3:00:00 2:57:00 51.97

Silver Strider Shortly arfter pneuma thorax - 2 weeks. Should not have run!! Innov-8 roclites rock. Seal skin socks the best idea of all to run in waterproof socks. Hill training and stamina work a must. Road shoes a no no. Great T shirt. Loved the fire hose at the end. Treat like a marathon in terms of duration and race stratergy.

Wont miss one again - until I am running Ultras!!!! Bexhill Runners and Triathletes 3:11:42 3:25:54 4:00:00 3:25:54 45.66

Mr Hiles Fantastic event as always.
Shaved 35 minutes off my time from last year. Seemed a tougher course too!
The marshalls are to be congratulated - they were all cheerful, encouraging even those in the most exposed positions! Plumstead Runners 3:26:31 3:29:45 3:30:00 3:29:45 47.88

way2slow Had a sneaky feeling this was going to be a toughie and lived up to all my expectations. started off slow and steady then slowed even more on the first hill. the bog was entertaining (got stuck 4 times - thanks to the guy behind me who hauled me out). strangely, i actually enjoyed running on the shingle beaches (at least it made a nice change from the near vertical hills). am already looking forward to next year!!!!
