Hoping for PB and time around 1:30:00. training has been going well. have tosee how conditions and I feel on the day!!
Weather was freezing and course was hilly!! Enjoyable run but disappointed I didn't run a PB, hopefully just an off day! Sorry to those of you who put a bet on!
First half since big injury in the Cardiff half, prep for the Paris marathon
Happy with this - took a minute out of my PB and almost 6 mins out of last attempt at this course. Love the countryside in this race and a few tough hills, good sharpener for a spring marathon.
Nice run , did n't really push and walked the hills.
You know when you seriously underestimate your abilities. I started at what I felt was a comfortable pace, found it was fast, but carried on regardless. Only by mile 11 did I decide to go for the PB, and that was because running within myself put me bang on target. So, despite the cold, and the hills, I've only gone and PBd it!
Woohoo - 1200 bets already!! When does the gun go???
OMG, 2900 bets?! Very pleased I made these good, I would have had to deregister otherwise..... Had a good race, hills were tough and I had to remember how to race hard (haven't done it for a few months) but I got the 8 min/mile average and came over the finish line to collapse on my face. Must stop doing that.......
Hoping for a new pb, could be an exciting day.....
Watch time not the official one yet.
Very pleased with this one.
Roll on Berko
I found this race (my first half) much easier than I thought, the hills were not nearly the mountains of my mind. I enjoyed it until mile 11, when the whole race became about seeing mile 12 and the bloody thing being over!
Second half marathon. Looking forward to upping the ante a little.
Woo Hoo! Sub 90 half done!
Hills of Death (HOD)
Oops did Pb by accident paced gymfreak round excellent performance from her. Tough half. In pub with rich k, miss p, Naomi and kevski having a few guinness.
Official time - 2 seconds slower than watch time. Really enjoyed the course, even with a couple of nasty hills! And a PB, what with being my first half and everything.
Absoulutely loved every mile of it! What a lovely course, I'm definitely up for doing that one next year
Wouldn't have called this a PB course, but no arguing with the chip!
Paced the 10 minute mile group for RW. Nice race.
Chip time. Gun was 1:26:00. 104th out of 1958, Second Harrier.
I did this race in 2:03:05 in 2006 - quite a hard course with some big hills, although there are downhills too!
Went off far too fast then had to plod the last 5 miles while 100s of people passed me. Still pleased with a new PB even if I did do it the hard way!
First sub 1.30 half delighted, 1st half in 44.45 and second 45.02, so fairly consistent. Good time considering strong head winds and hills. 193rd from 1958
Ag ag ag ag,
Jolly good fun, but I'm feeling it now.
