Bit of a struggle after a cold but a nice race
Hmmm!!! Christmas pudding, a small packet of custard in the goodie bag would be nice.
This will be the first race back after having my tonsils out, and having sat on the settee watching Jeremy Kyle eating salted crisps with a sore throat for 2-3 weeks recovering I've entered this to try and motivate me back in to getting up to the longer distances again rather than looking for a PB.
A little hungover (may have run under 58 mins if I had'nt hit it so hard on Friday night) but a PB by over 2 minutes. Very pleased.
645 of 725
1:36:05 according to my Garmin. A very unexpected pb as I am recovering from a cold.
I'd like a big christmas pudding this time please :o) Might have to run a bit faster then....
yeah! new shiny PB :o) I knew I should have bet on myself!!!
Had a great run faded a bit through 7-8 miles.
Turbo doesnt count
Previous PB in this race was 1h 08m in 2000, very little chance of beating that!! I was right although slightly quicker than I expected. Ate too close to start which didn't help but pretty consistent pacing. Happy with that.
Did not really enjoy this run, difficult at times because of narrow footpaths or traffice to get past slower runners.
Bit of a dreary start and finish under the bridge. Nice hot showers though!
paced Supertomo, nice steady run
PB by 4 seconds...yay!!
Looking to make up after last weeks cancelled Luton Mthon
This was the race where the calf muscle went again after about 5-6 minutes and I had to stop after 15 minutes for 4-5 minutes while I tried to stretch and massage the pain away; managed to finish the 10 miles and will be back next year as I enjoyed the race and the course. Hope to be about 10 minutes faster next time!
I had a stinking chest infection the week before!!!!
