Buchlyvie Half-Marathon

Entrants (11) Club PB SB Pred Time WAVA
ChrisU I was hoping to get sub 1.20, but I hadn't run in a month and lacked the stamina in the 2nd half, so when dapperdan passed me at halfway I couldn't match his pace on the way back. Managed to cling on to 5th position despite slowing up badly over the last couple of miles. Irontubs Think this will very much depend on the weather. Wellies and water wings at the ready Unaffiliated 1:58:51 2:02:00 2:05:00 2:07:07 52.40
JulesR DNF - right calf tightened after 3 miles and popped after 4 and a bit so stopped and hobbled back to drinks station and rescue. Well done Dapperdan for 4th and ando79 for big pb. Nice enough race an rough surfaces, but apparently I missed the muddy bit by stopping.

First injury dnf ever - hope it heals quickly. Stirling Triathlon Club 1:23:37 1:24:48 1:30:00

RunDMc Weather was perfect and the gathering very sociable (although one geezer had the temerity to moan about the mud afterwards - you just can't get the organisers these days, etc etc). Finally got preparation half-right, having avoided drowning my sorrows after the rugby and having had a sensible breakfast - consequently took about 2:20 off my PB . Felt pretty fresh over the last three miles so must keep up the training over the winter.

Fella who kindly gave me a lift got done for speeding in Dunblane, £120 fine and three points. The moral is - if you're not sure, presume it's thirty! Unaffiliated 1:47:59 1:54:06 2:00:00 1:54:06 51.24
z1000jeff Surface far better than last year and weather excellent. Cruel, cruel way to finish a race though, two laps of a sodden playing field ankle deep in gloop. Unaffiliated 1:35:33 1:39:00 1:40:00 1:39:00 63.42
