Took over in 42nd place - overtook a few but apparently they were mainly people being lapped - ended up in 41st come the end. PG managed to take a couple and we finished 39th overall - a real eye opener! Ally2 ran a blinder for 19 minutes on leg 1, Slickster did great too to finish in under 23. Tough course and pretty warm! Seen results online - 27th fastest of 93 on leg, so not too bad!!! Big room for improvement though - results will be starting with a 1 next time!
The Husky
Pb for that course by 1/2 minute although I clocked it as 20 35 i think the time keepers may have slipped up because it was a close finish between me and about 4 other runners so its difficult to be deadly accurate. Happy with run though hope i have the stamina for kenilworth.
Unofficial time Came 18th on leg one. Team came 40th. Was in top 50 quickest legs so pleased with the effort and mixing with the big boys. Beat some good scalps on leg 1- guys who beat me over longer distances but at shorter stuff speed kills. Although got outsprinted by a birchfield guy and the severn ac guy gary hope was again 4secs ahead of me like at prestwold 10k.
Undulating course. Reasonably happy with time, 10 seconds/km down on flat 5k PB pace, so not too slow, (well it was compared to everyone else ;-) ) Good effort from all the HH crew. (Just reviewed my customary sprint finish, 20 seconds for the last 150m, and it was up a reasonable hill too!)
Crap run, but gave it my best shot, will blog about it later. Ran leg 5, lost 2 places but kept them in sight and had a good fight with one guy who out ran me on the final hill.

Felt good, probably a PB although it was hot
Was on 3rd leg for the B team today. I actually felt really good today and although my time wasn't under 19minutes like I would have liked it, I definately feel there is a lot more in the tank to do better. I went off a lot more cautiously today as I know in the past, I've reached the top of the hill and felt very heavy, due to rushing off at the start. Perhaps I could maybe just pick up the tempo across the top of the hill and I'll go sub 19 at the nationals. Good performance for the A-team to get bronze.
