BigChiefRunningBore Ran as well as I could with back spasms. Was actually on target for pb until 21/22 miles when hamstrings couldn't cope any longer making up for bad back, added to which quads submitted written request for a transfer to another runner. Had to walk in last 2.5 to my shame 9.30mm.Great weather. And received watch for finishing The course is great if not low key - will hope to be back for May 2009. At least I won't have to run Luton! ES Have to be very pleased with my time. All the training suggested a best time of 4:45. Absolutely brilliant day for running, and although I am not a fan of two lap courses, this was OK until I was swamped by the Half marathon runners. Greenman Confirmation of No. arrived on 18th Sep. All seems a bit more real now. Hoping for around 3Hrs, plan is to get to 30K as close to 2Hrs as I can then take it from there. Grantham Running club 2:53:27 2:57:15 3:00:41 70.48
