eL Bee! Tough conditions!!! The forecast 16-21 knot winds were very much in evidence and made the undulating section on the far side very challenging. Velociraptor Has to be done :) What a great event! An impeccably-organised race that could almost make me love Draycote Water, lots of Fetchies, a fantastic atmosphere, cake. Loved it! I knew I wasn't in PB form - threw myself at sub-1:45 pace from the start but only managed to sustain it for the first half, partly due to the increasingly lively weather but mostly due to my decreasingly lively legs.
