Great to meet up with several fetchies, and really pleased to get a pb and knock nearly 3 mins off:)
Slimster
~Steady teddy pace leading up to Paris mara...Update: Took around quicker 1st lap by 10mile runners, just kept it going....
LucyG
Lovely race. Thanks RRR! Thanks also to everyone who bet on me. 33 fetchies can't be wrong!
Jock Itch
First 10M in 1:11...next 10M in 59mins. Progressive, felt easy.
chumleywarner
Belted along in the first half - clicked the 10 miles in under 70..half marathon pretty good too..hit the wall big style at the 16 mile mark..the worst last 4 miles of any race ever including the London Marathon! Horrible.....
TZ
My shorts are safe... managed to sneak under 2h, and go 6min/mile the whole way. I can't say it was easy, but to do this at the end of a quality training week is something I am very proud of. I'm so excited about London, I could burst! :-)
tom_craggs
Really enjoyed this race, great organisation and will definately come back. Ran it as a training run and very pleased with current shape.
JPK
Thanks to Ruth ;) I'm doing this 3 weeks after a marathon. Going to try and be sensible and do 8.5mm (very comfortable for me) and get a little pb on my way to my goal of pb'ing at every distance from 1m to 26m this year!
UPDATE: Paced Kew to 10 min pb and I got a 8 min pb myself! - great conditions and we stuck perfectly to the pace plan. Thats pb number 2 of my pb at every distance this year.
The Plodder
Splits: 10'27, 10'13, 9'52, 9'54, 9'54,

10'14, 10'13, 10'16, 10'34, 9'59

9'59, 10'35, 10'16, 10'04, 10'30,

11'18,10'27, 10'30, 10'14, 9'58,

first 10 miles = 1'41'36
second 10 miles = 1'43'41
Kew
Whopping 10 minute pb - think this shows I can try and aim for a 3.45 spring marathon - even had a finishing sprint in my legs - must be one of my best races ever :-)
Padams
1st half steady (1:01), 2nd half quicker (57)
Peacey
First race over 20, plan is to run this progressive finishing with the last quarter at my PMP for FLM.
Around 2.35 would be a ideal run at this stage of my FLM training.
*UPDATE*
Plan was to run first 10 around 8-8.15 & 2nd 10 around 7.15-7.30.
Predicted 2.35 so 2.33 which included a toilet stop on 9 miles is pleasing.

Happy.
-Monty-
felt comfortable doing the distance and pacing was good. wasn't racing but felt as though i could have run faster. nice race. good organisation. plenty of water stations and marshals. flm here i come! :-)
SharonD
Hopefully I won't hate it as much as I did in 2007- but I will definitely be quicker!!!
SuperSooks
2:25 if you don't include my loo stop!! No offical finish time or place as I forgot to wear the chip, the officials said tough! (Thanks!) so what was the point in us wearing numbers then? I always thought that was a back up system. Got large painful blisters on the balls of both feet from about 7 miles, which I slowed me a bit in the second half. Apart from those three little hicups I am generally pleased as its my first 20 mile training run in FLM build up.. feels really good to have it in the bank now! I enjoyed the course, nice and rural and the marshalls were great too.
RFJ
Trg run for Halstead Mara... this is likely to be a fetch PB, more like an outright PB, good strong run even though it was a trg run.....
UglyNephew
A very pleasant race, thank you very much.
5hep
Under 3 Hrs - very very very pleased!!!
Lillias
Longest race so far and am VERY nervous!!
Justin S
This was new territory after many half-marathons. Managed to run each of the 2 laps in 1:22, only overtaken by 2 people on the second lap. Definitely the way to run it.
The Croc
My first time at this race or distance - great race, well marshaled. Went much better than I expected, I had not run 20 since Sept last year so would have been happy just to finish somewhere around 2.50 if at all. First loop done in 1.19 so well under the 8 mm I was aiming for. I paid for it in the second 10 where things slowed up to well over 8 - one even at 8.30 when things got shaky at the 15 mile mark, but a gel sorted things out and I managed the last mile at 7.34.
J-Lard
Felt great. Really, really happy.
SteveX
My Fetch PB was for 20 miles mainly off road over the South Downs so should beat that time by some distance. I have run 2:41 before so hope to beat that if not injured.
Naomi P
Pre Barcelona marathon 20 miler, will be a good test of fitness. 2 hours 50 would be 3'45 pace so will probably aim for 3 hours-ish and hope to finish strong. *UPDATE* This went really well, decided to take the first lap easy at 9 min miling and wind it up to the finish. Paced a very nice lady to her first sub 1'30 to the 10 mile mark and felt better in the second lap when I could finally stretch out a bit. Mile 19 was 8'30 and mile 20 8 minutes, love a good finish. Only quibble about this race was the advertised glucose drinks didn't show up and I was counting on them. Oh well, if I can do a negative split 20 miler on water alone that must mean my endurance is improving ;-)
Just me!
Wasnt really racing this , but very pleased with pacing all the way round.Could have dipped under 2.20 if I had pushed a little harder in first ten.A sub 3 London a possibility based on this.
Deenzy
Raced to a plan of 6 easy 4 PMP 4 Steady 4 PMP 2 steady and it all went well:) Nice to meet RFJ and Peacy out on the course
trigger74
Delighted with time, did first half a bit quick 68.40- felt fine until 17 but from then on in was a bit of a struggle- but great to do sub 2.20.
pussy cat
wow!!! did a pb by over a minute - well pleased!!
wozzlehunter
my watch time. one of thoses days when everything comes together, got to 10 miles in 68mins and felt good so decided to try and get a negative split, made it... just. Very very happy with my days work. super organision everything seemed to go right, even the weather was spot on. well done RRR.
Limpet
No. 1974 Getting there by train hopefully it will be on time :-)
Jonny
Wasn't feeling too good this morning with stomach cramps and the also feeling the effects of a bottle of wine last night. Took it slowly and just wanted to complete the run. Started off at 8.30 miles then slowed to 8.50 up to 15 miles. Ran/walked from there due to tiredness and cramping in my legs.
Hills of Death (HOD)
A 20 mile training run really. Jogged round with Gymfreak see was better for the miles I was ok 1st lap 1.29 2nd lap was in discomfort my foot was hurting legs stiff I couldn't cope beyond 14. Was not prepared for this well there's another next week :)
AlB
Using this as FLM training run - and as I've never done this before, havent a clue whether I'm being optimistic or modest!!!
Ant1
Never raced this distance before. Hope to do about 7 to 7.15 min miles. Right in middle of target speed. Lost a minute for call of nature. Would have been close to 2.20
Speedy2
Ran as a "hard" training run.
