Foxy A great day at the Office :) I met up with Duncan Marsh who i had previously met at the Stinger & he wanted to go for A PB (his PB is 3 hours 38 in Prague) & sub 3 hours 30, i liked the idea of a bit of friendly competition & the chance of a sub 3 hour 30 or even PB, both of which realistically i thought were beyond me but i set out with Duncan running 4min 45 kms for the first 3 kms before letting him go & settling into a good rhythm for me 5 minute KMS & at around 32 kms i caught Duncan who was now paying for his early pace. I as overjoyed to finish in a years best time of 3 hours 33 mins aided I belive in part by a 4 week break after the Stinger. duncan came hom about 10 mins later & was a bit dissapointed when to be honest he probably shouldn't have been given the fact that he was only 5 mins outside his PB. a flat fast course & a lovely sunny day but not too hot, the early part of the race was very scnic around the old town(2 laps) & was great to go across the 100 Marathon Club, MK Lakeside Runners, Milton Keynes Lakeside Runners 3:09:27 3:24:10 3:44:59 3:33:40 57.21
