Boycie Felt I ran it as well as I could. Haven't been in great shape all year. Lack of long runs (19 on the Marlborough Downs was the longest) Flu 3 weeks before, curtailed me for another 10 days. Conditions were tough - it was another hot hot day (I am sunburnt!) whilst the rain earlier on in the week made the course very boggy in places. Consequently I got some very massive blisters on my little toes - not cool at all! I can't really walk properly at the moment.

Ran the first leg steady, along with Colly. That said we reached the first check point in about 51 and a half minutes. Then, as every year started to struggle on the open moorland climb. Shortly after half way (1hr 22), was thinking this could get really nasty towards the end. Feeling distinctly dodgy come the 2nd changeover, which I reached in about 1hr 46. Low patch around 16-17 miles, but then energy levels returned as I reached the Wool Mill and then turned for the final hill and then the finish. Had my best ever finishing position overall with 15th! Westbury Harriers won the team prize with 6th, 8th and 15th!

Already booked the room for next year! Unaffiliated 2:36:18 2:47:28 2:47:28 60.30
