Hollywoof! Me.... repeat of two year's ago... really wasn't sure whether today was gonna be 26M or a 5k followed by long cycle... couldn't face the idea of the long cycle so headed off to Orpington... got there in time to hear the starter hooter... sun was hot at 10:35 when I started (only 5 minutes behind everyone else - pretty good for me - two year's ago I was thirty minutes late)... first few miles were downhill and fast... then there were some horrid uphill miles... then undulations... the marshalls were great - loads of drinks, loads of suncream (eventually - first few marshalls seemed very unprepared for that question!)... everything operating out of people's homes - very friendly, very nice.... Half way in around 1:55(ish)... second half allowed myself some uphill and drink station walks - at about 20 miles decided I was done with the Unaffiliated 3:57:00 3:57:00 3:57:00 51.62
