can't see me getting a PB this year. UPDATE: What do I know!
So near yet so far... Just 18 secs outside the magic 90. Started off feeling a bit sore-kneed thinking maybe I'd overtrained in the last week. This was probably a good thing in a way, as it forced me to take a steady pace in the early stages. Race plan went perfectly up to 4 miles (27min) but didn't manage to sustain the pace on the later hills, hitting 8 miles in 55mins and 12 miles in 83. Last 1.1 miles in 7 mins was too much to ask, but I was pleased to find the stamina for a late rally.
5k splits: 21.05, 21.28, 21.50, 21.49
great race, weather held of for all of us. Not quite the 1:45 I was after but worked hard for what I got, a course/seasons best.
Just completed the Robin hood half in 1:56 so looking to knock a little of on this one. Would be happy to go under 1:55, but would be over the moon with a sub 1:50. This was a really hard course, still managed a PB. Even managed to walk around Woksop for an hour......yep forgot to change my clocks.
first half marathon so guaranteed a pb!!!!
Took it easy running with Simon
OMG where did that come from! Wasn't expecting a pb at all let alone a pb by 5 minutes! Really enjoyed the race I see why it's called the scenic one. I even held back at some points as I thought I was running too fast! The next target has to be sub 1.40!
Time for a PB maybe? Woke up looking for an excuse not to run but glad I did now! Great race, well organised. First mile slow but increased pace and was up on target splits for the rest of the race. New PB by 3 mins 50 secs!

Bloody tough course!
Harder race that I was expecting. The first 4 miles of up and down hills do catch you out a bit. But what brilliant views through the Clumber Park and the crowd support. Was very lucky with the weather. A little frustrated to have not cleared those 7 seconds to have recorded a 1hr 41 time, but this is my challenge for the next race. God I love this sport....
Ran a quick first six, mile three under 7 mins. Second half tough - struggled with hills, pulled it back on last mile
Week after Leicester half. No idea what my form is at the moment.
As expected legs were tired and the fact that the first few miles were 'undulating' did nothing to help.
Didn't have a very good run but think with less tired legs this would be a good course. It is rolling hills and very scenic. However no support really for people who thrive on the crowds.
Loved the chairty tea and cake stall. Would have been better off just staying there and eating cake!
Wow. Brilliant race again, and another cracking PB for 2008!! Just sneaked under 1:38. Can't begin to tell you how happy I am... Position 301/1337.
Helping someone to his first sub 2 half so DO NOT BET Did not mmet up so ran my own race lovely threw the woods by suffered in the last 3
Last minute decision, Geat race
Was ok for first 7-8 miles then was knackered and slowed down a lot, hadnt rained properly for a few weeks and suffered as a result
87th overall in today's race, perfect conditions for the run and a good time for my main targeted half of this year but I may just have another go at the end of November in the Clowne half but not so important to go for a best time this year.
Considering I had a cold, I was very pleased with this time. This is certainly one of my favourites, thumbs up to the organisers.
