GRIM: It was cold, wet, icy, muddy........ and FUN!
Fab fun - roll on next year!
8+ wet and muddy miles, mostly wet. 3rd year for me, much colder this year but no wind or rain and a bright warm sun. Ran with my Gorgeous wife of course Met up with Top corner, CB, Earlybird, Dave B, Footpad, Auburnette, Suzywoo, and Babbit.
Great great fun!!!
Hard to predict...I know what's coming this time :\
Half inch thick ice ~ what a great day out! I can't wait for the photos, i fell in the orange sandy bog! Great day!
3 Babes in a Bog 3rd female team!!
have no idea how i will fare in this not a mud or water luver normally but fancied giving it a go.
Really enjoyed it not as hard as i expected a bit cold thought the mud wasgreat.
Longer than last year but faster inspite of stopping to help push an ambulance.
last year got stuck where the course went from 6 a breast to 2, and stood around for quite a while (5 min plus) waiting to get through the bottle neck.
What a fantastic event, no good for PBs but brings out the child in you
The icy water and mud were a hoot (if your inner puppy is intact) but the trail run was very pretty too.
Looking like a potential regular race for me
It was fun trying to get numb legs to keep running! BTW - does anyone have any tips on how to get the orange mud stains out of a new technical shirt?
Did 1:20 last year but had been very lazy since FLM...this year I have been pretty solid with my training.
276/1900, 17/67 for the mens team
