Vic Mason I recommend this race to anyone thinking of doing any off road trail runs. This was my first taster at off road racing and I really enjoyed the challenge of clambering through mud swaps, forest trails, boggy marshes and steep slippery hills. I lost my footing a couple of times, spent a couple of minutes trying to retrieve my shoe from a mud swap & lost my way at one point through the forest trail as I was concentrating on my footing, luckily another runner shouted to me that I was going the wrong way. Great day out and the atrocious weather conditions made the course very challenging. Very well organised race & will defiantly be back next year. Finishing position 29/305. Well done to Magoo on 1st over 40 home & congratulations on the birth of Ben & Corri. I was hoping to see you at the race but you were obviously too fast. Send my regards to Nikki. Dancing Boy Damned good fun, loved tearing through the woods on switchback trails and risking life & limb on the descents. Best course ever for marking and marshalling. With an advertised 10-12 miles in mind and a sneaky git from Salomon telling me it was closer to 13, it was over a bit quicker than anticpated, so I could possibly have gone a wee bit faster but the guy in front of me was strong enough to have stayed ahead anyway. I suspect Salomon may have shortened the course slightly at the end on the day at the behest of the Search & Rescue folk with concerns about the weather. Still a great day out and a race worthy of the name. Edinburgh Athletic Club, Jogscotland - Edinburgh Run4it 1:04:18 1:04:18 1:04:18 68.50

Yano The wettest day of the year by a mile! Mud, mud and more mud all the way. Struggled a bit because I couldn't see through my glasses! Course was brutal but fun. I saw a poor chap lose his shoes in the deep bog! Unaffiliated 1:11:24 1:25:05 1:24:00 1:25:05 51.77

Repkafanclub What a day. Left the granite city at 6.20 am, arrived in G32 at 8.50 am. However arrived at the wrong place, even though my clooeague ran it last year. Arrived at the race location with 20 minutes to spare. Just as well as it was raining quite hard and it stopped us getting soaked during the warm up. Registered then got on with it. What a course. Hills, mud, bogs and continual rain all the way round made it a mudfest to say the least. Roll on next year. Unaffiliated 1:28:22 1:28:22 1:28:22 53.72

gilly b Brilliant race, I loved it! Wasn't sure what to expect and wasn't looking forward to it, especially with the miserable weather. However once we got started I really enjoyed it. Took it pretty easy from the start and then ran with Slowcoach who injured his ankle half way round, and then had a bloody knee - but even he still enjoyed it! I'd recommend this one to everyone - as long as you don't mind getting mucky! Unaffiliated 1:53:47 1:53:47 1:53:47 45.89
