Dubois Excellent little race organised by Hercules Wimbledon round Wimbledon Park. There can't be a race closer to my house, so I ran while my wife and daughter played on the swings and fed the ducks. The course was 2 laps of most of my usual Wimbledon Park loop, so it was great to race a route I know so well, Church Road hill and all. Couldn't spot many punters like me at the start - i.e. gut filling out a non-club shirt - so the aim was to keep it respectable. At the foot of the hill second time round I thought I might dip under 38, but I ran out of puff at the top which cost me. Excellent marshals all the way round and a welcome break from sorting out the cupboard under the stairs on a bank holiday Monday. Unaffiliated 38:22 38:22 38:45 38:22 55.13
