B Rubble
Not fast but very steady pace, to be expected after 5k on Sunday. 1st mile 6:37, last mile 6:39.
Good race :) Nice route, not too hilly, not too serious. Was surprised that the distance markers were in miles though - messed up my splits...but that was probably also what made me run faster!
Highway Star
Slight headache prior to start of race, possiblie de-hydrated. Tense left leg muscles. Firts mile was tough breathing heavy but was completed in 11 minutes. Hit 3 miles at around 32 which was on target really. Overal very enjoyable.l
The perfect race and conditions for a PB attempt - if you haven't had a race the day before and played football at lunchtime. Alovely race though & well organised & marshalled.
My 10K times are going the wrong way! This is my slowest 10k race time (when I have actually been trying) since August 2007. Too much post marathon racing?
First race in ages - jogged with a friend and really enjoyed the experience again.
