jolguk Oh dear, I made a bit of my boo boo with my prediction, didn't I? Anyway, I got a PB as I thought I probably would, although I think I was a bit lazy with it today and could have done more. I loved the day, though. It was my first ever race, so it was great to be back today with the lady I first did it with, as well as newer firiends. It was lovely to meet Dons, too. There's a really nice atmosphere at this race, and although the course is quite tough, as there are a lot of inclines in the second half, I'll always be back here when I can make it. Oh, and I got a prize for second L35, although the technical T-shirt is a man's (in a ladies' race) and would be too big even for my husband. McNewbie Hope fellow runners didn't hate me too much for having an earphone in! Freezing but warmed up quickly. Never had to do a race where I had to watch for traffic before, interesting experience! Met up with some lovely Fetchies, very nice atmosphere. Course was more undulating than I am used to, and ice patches definitely slowed me a little. Good fun though, loved the ornament-y/paperweight-y thing and the reflector band in the goody bag :) Unaffiliated 51:00 51:00 52:00 51:00 49.11
