Never felt so sick running running in a race before. Spent the whole thing trying not to throw up and trying hard to breathe through a cold...grrr.
Halfway in 1:16 but then knee started twatting. Good result considering amount of walking i did near the end! Really nice course (undulating)
I hope to have got fitter and put a new Pb on this race - I feel I would have done last year but running beachy head marathon the day before didnt help
what a great day. perfect weather and another pb
Not a good race experience for me. I felt very good for first nine miles then completely ran out of steam and last two miles were very slow. Need to do more long runs I think.
Great course a few minor hills but nothing too bad with some long fast downhill stretches. Weather was spot on too.
Well I just about deserved that and it would have been much, much, much, much worse without the lovely Lalli.
Train, boys and girls; it's better for your running than drinking beer.
Lovely race and a PB too! Great way to end my running year
This will be my first crack at a PB at half since Fleet in February.
*UPDATE* NO PB...Sorry Guys I did try but it just wasn't happening
Lovely but fairly hilly course on a beautifiul perfect running weather day. Really well organised race on completely closed roads. I am a bit disappointed not to have PB'd as it is 6 months since my last half. It was however a much tougher course than Fleet and I have done 2 marathons in the last 6 weeks so my legs felt quite tired. Nice to see Beer Mat, Lali, Rapps and Fanns at the end and well done PeteB who shot past me at just after the 12 mile marker looking fresh as a daisy (bastard;)!)
The perfect race for me: not too hilly, and a cool still day that was perfect for running. Slight negative split and really enjoyed it.
Pretty please as felt fairly good. Not great on hills so time was good for me. 7th overall.
Thanks to the 7 Fetchies who bet on me. I couldn't let you guys down.
Lovely day out. Traffic free, would do again.
My first half marathon
