Current PB is about 35.40 but I should smash this. Hoping for around 32.30. Should be a good bet.
Started well but died a bit at the end. I think I was a bit overconfident predicting 32.30 but I still beat my 5 mile PB by 2.5 minutes, so I've got to be happy with that!!!!
Will bring back memories of my very early running exploits.Looking forward to it. UPDATE: Managed the PB I was hoping for but developed a stitch that lost me time over the last mile. Never mind I'm still chuffed! Thanks to all those who gambled credits on me CHEERS!!
Perfect conditions along quiet country lanes - went off fast for the first 2 miles slightly downhill, so about 1 min slower for second half.
Great race, worked really hard! Second hill hurt, must build some hills into my training routes. Really pleased with my time plus feeling good the day after, a first! Came 251st out of 296 ..
PB! PB! PB! - so good i had to say it 3 times! I enjoyed this race and felt i could have run quicker. The long stead decent made me feel like i was gonna have to reserve my energy for the leg back but it ended up being a short sharp incline (very short) so i really could have pushed harder. Nice mid-week event.
