Taking it easy on this one - not long to the HM. Enjoyed this one! I was taking it easy but next time I'd try this one to record a PB mostly flat just a couple of gradients to contend with. Liked the towel as a momento for a change from t-shirt etc. Only moan would be the lack of a PA or megaphone for announcements etc and lack of signd for first time spectators to get to the finish line. But these are minor niggles.
A new PB for 10km for me! Well Pleased
Will be close but if feeling good on the day might just get PB. It is chipped and says that it is fast and flat so should in theory beat time from Bolton 10k in April. OUTCOME - Exactly same time as i got for Bolton 10k, not even 1 second off my PB , how frustrating!!!!
First race! Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Much harder than I expected. Disappointed with my time. But very pleased with the towel, and the flowers for the lady finishers. I'll be back!
Didn't set off too fast (as I normally do). Really benefitted from this as pace much more consistent and wasn't clinging on in the end
Slick organisation, flat course and good quality mementos make this one for the diary every year. And yet, at first sight, a tour of the roundabouts of a business park with some countrified bits seems less than appealing. But that view is false. When I set off, I was impressed how soon congestion disappeared but I have little change of pace these days and hung in behind a training partner until the last 1km. Raised a gallop of sorts after the footpath and was pleased I'd participated.
Chip time noted. (Gun time = 55.45)
