Agent Orange Fourth run here and fourth PB - but it's getting harder! Great conditions so decided to set out at 4.20 per km pace and see if I could hold it or would blow up. Ran strongly up to 6 km (5km at 21.50). Struggled in kms 8 and 9 but as faster runners came by I gritted my teeth and tried to hold on to their pace. Then had a strong finish for a really pleasing time. Lovely to see Mark C (big PB, well done) along with Sarah and Ellen. Unaffiliated 43:42 43:42 44:22 62.73

FurryH Number 106 - March has been a bad month for training with illnesses galore. Aiming for 55 but will be pleased to come in under the hr. Nice flat course. Update. Dispite the cold managed a PB time as nice flat and fast course. Watford Joggers 48:08 53:16 55:00 53:16 49.58

Kingy30 It's two years since I last did a 10km and it was the Town & Gown, I was in the process of training for a marathon and was super fit at the time. So i'm not going to feel too bad that i've slowed by 2 minutes, but I would like to be able to get back into the 45 bracket. It was a nice race, always is. Unaffiliated 45:12 47:30 48:00 47:30 62.69

MarkC Well happy with that, a new PB by 2 minutes and I think there could be more to come. Yeeeesssss! I was aiming for sub-7min miling, to get to 6 miles at 42 mins, then planned to just pelt it for the the final bit. I started a little too fast, doing the first four miles around 6:30 but somehow I felt OK. I held back a bit over mile 5 (7:10 - looks like I held off a bit tooooo much now!) and then picked it up again for mile 6, leaving enough for a lickety-split finish that saw me pip a clubmate and a clump of other people too. Felt pretty good right the way through, and not suffering too much afterwards (but ask me again in the morning!!!). I'm really happy with that. Great to see solitudefairy and Agent Orange (congrats to both on the PBs!) and big applause to all my fellow Alchesterians for their performances (and marshalling!). Well done also to Sharon and Ollie for great performances, and WOW to office dark horse Rachel who runs bloody well on the quiet! All in all, an excellent day's work, and I'm now asking myself if sub-40 is on the cards....... Unaffiliated 41:22 41:22 43:00 41:22 65.34

OxfordTristan Second race after 6 months out through injury so i don't think i will be able to emulate last seasons 40.53 pb.

SarahBoots (Solitude_Fairy) WOOOOOHOOOOOOOO Another 10K PB by 90 seconds. One very very very happy SF indeed. Great support from marshalls that I knew, and waving at lots of fellow runners I knew. I LOVED IT. Ran easy, and could see the PB was on, so kicked at 6K again, and yep... it worked. Loved it. More to follow I am sure.

satkin55 Good first couple of miles, but then found it tough to keep the pace up in the middle. Improved again over the last 2k for a good finish. Knocked 25 secs off my PB, but disappointed. I should have done better. White Horse Harriers AC 42:05 42:05 42:00 42:05 67.19
