This event is listed on these dates:
V Slow time. Very hilly and very hot. Tough course. Still not quite back to pace from Helsinki. Lots of work to do in the 5 weeks before Dublin!! Great course, and well marshalled. They need to sort out the car parking - what a nightmare, took us an hour and half to get out of the car park!!
Bit hot and hilly.... And still tired from half marathon from previous week...
please let me get a new pb
sorry to the peeps who bet on me
LSR - good chat with T.
Hamstring held out remarkably well. But I felt pretty heavy legged and had a few niggles here and there. I struggled with the hills and heat a bit and fell behind my target in the last 3 miles.
POST-RACE - Finished in one piece, but not under 2:10... good race though, nice course. Will return next year, hopefully fit and ready...
PRE-RACE - With a two month injury layoff, continuing calf problems and training not to going as planned - PB is very doubtful.
Still looking forward to Windsor, after the disappointment of last year. Will be happy to finish in one piece under 2:10.
New one for me so see how it goes. Not so happy about start time...never mind.
A bit hot and very crowded. Liked the hills and the course generally but it's too crowded.
hot as hell and bloody hilly
first half marathon so not to sure at min of time.
Bloody hot and hilly, finished my first ever half, yaaaaay
I will go sub 1:30. Job done.I didn't feel that great in the first mile so just kept it steady then ran the last mile fast.
Hadn't been well for a couple of weeks before this, so wasn't surprised at one of my worst half marathon results ever.
Too hot and hilly. Hips and groin also stiffened up the hills. Not a good run. Decided after 2 miles not to go for a PB.
Just another training run, not really racing. Love the atmosphere and race day, hope it'll be possible to run on this bad leg.
really lovely day, well organised, but a strange time to race, which means you dont get lunch!
very very hilly
What a lovely day - and a PB at Windsor. Rock On!!
Lap1 - 8.43, 2 - 8.50, 3 - 8.28, 4 - 8.53, 5 - 8.44, 6 - 8.49, 7 - 8.42, 8 - 8.29, 9 - 8.57, 10 - 8.58, 11 - 9.03, 12 - 8.55, 13 - 8.06, 13.1 - 0.47
Conditions too hot for a PB & realised this early on. Pleased to get round really so can't complain & 261st not bad at all. Miles 11&12 caused my downfall, but did help someone to a marshall who was close on collapsing - some things are more important than personal times.
Grant said all along this was a bumpy course - he was right!!
Well done to all that finished
It took me 2:15 minutes to do the 45 minute journey to windsor, I got there 15 minutes after the start of the race, on a plus side there was no queues for the loos and I also got to see the three races leaders.
Weaving around the back marker in the heat just about finished me off.
After all that I still had a great time well done too Windsor for another great event.
Hope to break 1.30 but need to get a good start and not get baulked. Hot. this is quite a difficult course. Went off too fast and struggled. Broke PB for course. Does anybody know which has a more climbing Windsor or High Wycombe, or a way to find out?
Please let it be cold that day. It was boiling hot but good fun, althoug pb went out the window with the heat and pottled round comfortably!!!!!
VERY HOT - far too many hills
Been offered a late place, not racing it so will use this as my LSR for this week.
Have never run this far before, but I'd certainly like to get under 1:30.
Far too hot to run. Who'd have expected it to be over 80 deg's at the end of September !!! Even the elite runners were 7 minutes slower than expected. So overall I was pleased to be only 2 mins outside my prediction.
Messed up knee week before so happy to finish really
