No.8 ™ Put this down as a training run! Knew it wasn't going to happen during the warm up, by 7k was looking over my shoulder to make sure no club mates were around. Did enough to pick up Club Championship, but 40 secs outside PB - moving on. Unaffiliated 34:19 34:25 35:05 35:05 76.61

#runningman 🏃 My 33rd Birthday on the day of this race so decided to reward!! myself with this as my first race as a 33 year old.Left knee still not quite rught from the London Marathon and had originally planned to make Upper Boddington 10k on 26th May as my first post marathon race. But my brother inlaw is doing this race so I have been persuaded to have a go.
May be a bit early so I will settle for anything sub 45 mins. We shall see. Unaffiliated 42:48 42:48 45:00 42:49 61.86

Jo-bee Crap time, really disappointed with myself. My time was 50.34, chip time 50.41. Suppose I should go with the officeial time. :-( I know one of the reasons is that I didn't eat a dinner that day because I had a bad stomach so I was lacking in energy in the last 3kms. It was also a really hot evening, too much for me. I like running in the cold or the rain. Anyway, it was great to be there at Silverstone. Unaffiliated 49:15 50:26 49:56 50:41 60.26

Lieutenant Lucerne Only decided to do this one about two days before the race. A fast course, in fairly good conditions. Managed a PB with a slight negative split. Unaffiliated 37:45 40:12 40:12 71.49
Jon Berry stitch early on which was quite painful. plus calf strain in right calf Unaffiliated 41:36 41:36 42:30 43:10 62.27
starfleet1985 Very warm in the afternoon, before race, Minimal practise. But hope to beat my previous race time for the race.

Good race, sun out had cooled a lot but still quite warm. Fast and seady pace all round. Unaffiliated 48:57 48:57 58:00 49:57
Fat Man Runs Timing is provisional - I wasn't quite sure where the start was so need to wait for chip time!

Other than that a fine race. Unaffiliated 47:15 53:27 53:27 49.68

I didn't really 'turn up' mentally for this one. Added to which I found it a bit hot and humid. Nevertheless, 48.06 was my third best 10km time ever. So, no complaints. Unaffiliated 45:06 46:27 48:06 60.24
Nog Still shaking a cold off, but went surprisingly well. Felt bad until about 7k when seemed to get some wind in my sails. Unaffiliated 47:16 47:16 50:00 48:14 55.24

Duke of Drayton This is hallowed ground people - I can't wait! I really enjoyed this race - great organisation and a lot of friendly runners/other fetchies. I managed to get a PB however, I think that I could have done better if not for nursing the dodgy calf for the first lap. Bring on next year! Cambridge & Coleridge AC 39:22 46:40 48:40 47:13 57.25

Go-KL Official time 37:03 but I reckon I ran a couple of seconds faster than that. Ran ok but as predicted quads were heavy and lifeless after the days of riding. Was lovely weather cooled to around 17c with a breeze head on down the Hangar Straight. Left hip and achilles a touch sore at times. Finished 49th overall in the men's race - 52nd overall. Schnecke Planning an attempt at my 10k PB here - but it will be very close.
Woohoo! Did it by 59 secs (using my stopwatch time from the start line - the 'official' time will be slower but inaccurate so I'm going with mine.) Thanks to those people who bet on me - it did spur me on when I felt tired. Enjoyed this and didn't feel too wrecked - it was very warm but there was a nice breeze. What a nice surface this was to run on when you're used to lumpy pavements and potholes. I started towards the back and overtook people all the way round, which is the way I like to do these things ;-) North Herts Road Runners 47:17 51:07 52:00 51:07 65.17
