Gobi Year 3 at this and planning to train specifically for the race. A two minute improvement seems realistic. I knew last year I could go faster but spent the first 2 miles swerving the traffic.
BOLLOX I HAVE A COLD :¬( still gonna go for it

TW Had a great run in 2004, looking for even better in 2005, and hopefully another following wind for the last 2 miles!

Very disappointed with my 2005 run...was hoping to beat last year and even get under 70 mins. Just ran out of steam in mile8 whilst still on track for 70, then could not get it back together. Not sure hwy...all training had gone well, well hydrated, plenty of fuel beforehand, just ran out of puff!!
Apart from that, it was a good event, well organised, great facilities etc...
Only compaint would be all the slower runners who get up the front and then set off at a snails pace, causing everyone else to have to run around them...I thin I covered about 1.5miles in he first mile, with all the dodging and zigzagging!!! Unaffiliated 1:08:35 1:12:44 1:11:38 1:12:44 60.78
St. Pauli Girl A really enjoyable race - the weather was just right (though I wish that I'd not worn long sleves). Managed to do better than I had planned.

Also caught up with RacheE at around the 8 mile mark. Unaffiliated 1:21:08 1:21:08 1:30:00 1:21:08 60.44

oldbirdhead Didn't train for a couple of weeks before the race because I had pulled my calf muscle during my longest training run (7 miles) so was fully expecting it too stiffen up during the race but it didn't and it now feels fine!! Winchester & District AC 1:03:33 1:13:06 1:25:00 1:13:06 59.88
Rach E Had been suffering from tonsilitis all week, and then got a cold on top of it at the end of the week. Musical Journey I really enjoyed this race, mostly because I ran around with a friend who had never done 10 miles before. It meant that I was there as Mr Motivator and ran at a much slower pace than I would do normally. It gave me a chance to realise how much my fitness has come along and running at about 10 minute mile pace felt very easy which is encouraging. The course itself was quite flat and I guess the only regret is that if I had really pushed myself, I could well have set a PB. Unaffiliated 1:41:51 1:41:51 1:41:51 43.24
