Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

koilowe
1st time not beating previous PB at this distance. Got that 'monkey' off my back now!
Spot on 1st split at 3km, lost over a minute between 3 and 6 km, caught up a bit between 6 and 9km. Too much left to do in last km for a PB.
Fat Man Runs
1st run back in a long long time, was very rusty - but enjoyed every minute of it. Looking forward to the next one!
Alf Tupper
Oh dear. Don't know what happened but not a good time. Race was good fun despite the drizzle, cold and wind! Always love the finish into Pride Park. Seemed a bit more hilly than previous years. Last climb up final bridge seemed like a bridge too far. Great to meet Fetch before the race.
Iris
I enjoyed this a lot. I could probably have pushed it a bit faster but last mile at same pace as first (and all in between) is good enough for me. It was just fun, doing my own thing and knowing I could do it.
PeteFastFeet
£16 race no 7306
It didn't rain, but was damp underfoot. PB Chip time (gun time 42:52)
fetcheveryone
Unofficial PB. More details later.
clifford
Hopefully beat the 50 mark and my PB...**Update:Smashed my PB by over a minute.....A Great race and very well organised....though my garmin measured it at 6.56 Miles......Definately do this next year
Beejay
Struggled with a cold all week and went thru 5k on target for about 42.30 but found the 2nd half tough. Cold and intermittent training (last two weeks) caught up with me. PB by 51 seconds but there is still more to come!
Belper Bear
My first ever race. The day after my 49th birthday!! Late starter hoping not to be latest finisher. Race No 6004

I absolutely loved it and am looking forward to doing many more.
Ness
Race Number 7534.
Haven't run a 10k for ages. Would like to get a time of around 55 minutes.
Update: 55:58 was the chip time from the website. A really great race. I enjoyed this one despite strggling a bit in the first 2 or 3 km.
Maisy
No: 8080. Provisional time of 50:58. Happy with that given I was hoping to get under 55 mins. Will update again once chip times are available. Well organised race and enjoyed the stadium finish. 50.48 on the chip time, well pleased!
sLickster
A PB by 80 seconds so 5000 fetch points saved, but a bit of a disaster run! I may be compelled to write my first blog about it later...
ThorntonRunner
Yet another attempt at breaking 40 minutes! Am in good form, but have been concentrating on Marathon training so not much short distance speed work. If the weather's OK, I should do it given my Desford result from mid-March (Desford was hillier, and keen headwind for last two miles - still got 40:17). It'll be close though. UPDATE: Bang on prediction:):). The biggest 2 seconds of my life - bringing my pb from 40:01 to 39:59;). Good race, enjoyed. Paced well.
Ramfan
893rd out of 2598.
Good pace throughout but slowed in the last half to just miss out on a sub 50
charlie brown
Fantastic race. Excellent atmosphere and very good organisation. Very long wait for refreshments for spectators.
