Flatlander I arrived in Oakley at 8:56 but couldn't get parked for 30 minutes, long walk to a chaotic HQ, couldn't get into changing room until gone 9:45, baggage area appeared to have been closed early so told to leave bags in corridor for later storage.
Got to start area at 9:59 but weren't allowed to use pavements to get to the back of the field so masses of us were stalled at the front because we couldn't get through. The race Cambridge & Coleridge AC 2:37:38 3:03:06 3:03:06 61.13

jlucas Think it was a decent effort all things considered, really windy today and a tougher course than expected. Also no warm up and a dental problem later in the week. Moving on and not put off my marathon targets! Werrington Joggers 2:09:35 2:12:18 2:12:18 70.17

Marts Enjoyed the run, the hoodie is great. Marshalls very helpful. Start delyed for 10 minutes with no communication about how long it would be delayed, or why. Collection of numbers was chaos and prevented many runners from having a proper warm up. Showers out of order and I only saw only 5 portaloos for 1059 entrants is a joke. nikchapman 2nd time I've done this race but probably the last time too.
Struggled to get parked and had to walk approx. 1 mile to/from the HQ. Before the race that's ok, after is painful.
Took ages to get my number, queues all over the place. Why don't they post them?
Start delayed for 10 mins so got very cold and nearly pulled out after 12 miles because of the wind.
Marshalls were friendly but a little bit more of organisation would help this race. VEGAN RUNNERS UK 2:36:51 2:50:09 2:50:09 55.68

Ricardo I thought I'd be able to do 2:30, especially given recent results. However, doing flooring the day before is probably not the best preparation for the legs. They felt dull and achey from the start. It was also very windy, although this was advantageous at some parts of the course. I think I just felt lethargic generally and had to stop and walk at one point. I shouldn't complain as I still PB'd by a few minutes. I guess I just wanted to do better :S Unaffiliated 2:28:20 2:31:13 2:30:00 2:31:13 64.21

Schnecke Just realised that was a 20 mile PB - not sure how I managed that when being blown all over the place by the wind. It must have been behind me for some of it! North Herts Road Runners 3:06:46 3:06:46 3:06:46 65.87

taulpaul Chaotic start but once the race got going it was great. Anything but flat with a very up and down two lap course made for a challenging race. Nice hoodie at the finish and excellent support from all the marshals. Well chuffed with my time particularly the second half of the race. Last 4 miles were my fastest. Finished in position 229 from just over 843 finishers Birmingham Swifts 2:40:19 2:41:07 2:41:07 60.26
