manicstreetpounder Great race!...and a new PB!! Was having doubts going up the hill after 4K but it really was downhill all the way from there. Nice course, mainly road, but with a fair bit of off-road/track along the way. The organisers were very friendly and welcoming too. Unaffiliated 37:04 40:27 42:00 40:27 66.82
Obee Coming back after illness so unlikely to be a pb (and that big hill!)
Despite wet start ran really well and even pace resulting in first pb under 40. Fantastic! Unaffiliated 39:02 39:49 42:00 39:49 66.33
Runner Without a Clue Always hopeful for a pb - totally depends on 'that' hill ...UPDATE: what a fantastic race, and a pb too! very pleased!! Unaffiliated 45:54 45:54 48:49 45:54 65.11

JessM Good race, the downhill was great. didn't feel as bad as the last 10k, got to work on getting rid of those last few seconds Unaffiliated 50:22 50:22 50:22 59.01
Bul pretty pleased with race, felt good after the hills and moved up from 8th to 6th. Not great time but I'm not v good on hills. Over a minute quicker than last 2 years. Clapham Chasers 33:14 34:51 35:00 35:22 74.89
Cormorant I only live down the road but still contrived to miss the start, so the time is from my watch. The rain stopped early on so that there were just those hills to contend with up to half way. They mean this is never going to be a PB course but I was just pleased that this didn't turn out to be another personal worst. The minute's silence was moving and this is a great event (friendly, well-marshalled, a varied route): I stayed for the cake this year and will be back for more. gray What was in my head running through Norbury Park today? Well, what with it being remembrance Sunday, and this race starting & ending at the Fire Station, I couldn't help thinking of the tragic fire in Warwickshire just over a week ago in which four firefighters lost their lives and being reminded of the risks that these men & women take.
The race? Thanks to my fellow competitors who, towards the top of Denshire Hill, reminded me that what goes up.....etc. Also anybody involved in the race's organisation, which is excellent, and I'd like to especially mention the creator of the bread pudding on sale at the end (who deserves a medal)......eat your heart out, Energy Bars....! Lalli Really wanted to come in on or under an hour but a tow-path bottle neck slowed me right back! Felt good after the operation. Great race in lovely surroundings. Eastbourne Rovers AC 51:51 1:01:34 1:02:00 1:01:34 51.19

Bex66 My first 10K too! Wasn't even sure I was going to do it when I woke up this morning as I have only run up to 4 miles in training but really pleased with my result - bring on the Battle Xmas Pudding 5mile - are the hills about the same on that one or worse?
