bigal knew this would be a tough race after doing it last year. cold at start but it warmed up nicely possibly due to hills. first one was ok but the second one is a killer it seems neverending!!! well organised race in very scenic surroundings. big thank you to all the marshalls and the organisers for a tough but great race. Jenson Don't know what to expect. Looking to enjoy it. So, anything around an hour and a bit I'll be happy.

Managed under an hour. Probs 58 something but did not have a stop watch so not sure. Pleased though consdering how I felt. Really struggled and the hill at 4-5 miles had me walking. Fantastic setting though and fab weather. esk vally fell club 54:07 58:32 1:02:00 58:32 57.85
Lisrun Great race, I am looking forward to this one ! *Update* Cold at the start, but it soon warmed up. Beautiful surroundings and the same two hills. Very pleased to be only 37sec short of my pb here 100 Marathon Club, North East Marathon Club 58:07 58:44 59:00 58:44 60.48
madaddo I'd heard so much about 'the hill' in this race, that I was actually expecting worse than what it was - that's not to underestimate what it was, but after so many comments from fellow Harriers, I was expecting the north face of the Eiger! Overall, very happy with my time. Sedgefield Harriers 49:00 49:44 50:00 49:44 62.05

Screeners never been able to get under 70 mins yet for this race because of the hills - maybe this year...
UPDATE: Didn't get under 70 mins but did do a PB by about 20 secs so pleased with that, considering I've got a really bad cold. Couldn't get my breathing right in the first couple of miles, felt really breathless and was considering even pulling out but things settled down after that. Not an easy race at all but beautiful setting, encouraging marshalls and very well organised. Elswick Harriers 1:07:13 1:12:14 1:10:00 1:12:14 47.46
Skylonsthelimit Great day/contitions. Well pleased only 13 secs off last years pb, was expecting a lot slower Unaffiliated 50:03 50:19 55:00 50:19 60.32
Vicki: Graceless Whippet Haven't been right since the GNR - had a chest infection & something wrong with my left knee & hip. Will see how the day goes though
*update* 3 mins slower than last year, but I struggled with the hills - really enjoyed it though, as my garmin wouldn't pick up a signal so I just switched it off and ran - lovely :) Jarrow & Hebburn AC 54:05 57:11 57:11 59.73
