Justinm 2 hrs 48mins 51 secs, quicker that I expected I felt fine until 19-20 miles. Having to run on past the old entrance to Gideons Green - up the hill to the new entrance, from here my mind started to go lol From then I didnt enjoy the cycle path. Didnt mind the Dargan area, Felt better in and around the City - until Ormeau Road and Ravenhill Road. They were very long and being able to see so far in front of you at that stage isnt good (for me anyway).

Overall I enjoyed my first Marathon in Belfast. East Coast AC 2:38:11 2:48:51 2:48:51 71.99

paul the builder 3:16:20 chip time. I really pushed, and while 3:15 looked possible up to 18-19, I just couldn't keep that pace. Still very pleased with a) a big (12m30) PB, and b) holding it together through the last 10k, unquestionably the hardest section of race I've ever done (not the course, I mean my fatigue and mental battles). While there are a few hills, and it's certainly not an easy course, it's interesting except for the obligatory industrial estate section from 19-21 ish. Water in plastic cups is crap for a marathon with aspirations though (although at least they had plenty of stations to make up for the tiny amount that you could actually drink at each one). Weather - overcast till 15/16 ish then sun broke through, so tough last few miles as it warmed up. Larne AC 2:56:49 3:08:40 3:20:00 3:16:20 62.47
abdou Build-up screwed by broken ribs and then, having caught up a bit, illness. Going to go for it though, and hopefully not blow up too early... Hillsborough & Rivelin RC 3:00:42 3:15:36 3:14:59 3:15:36 62.15
BS Got a taste for a new pb at Connemara and Belfast should be a bit easier, but it all depends on the day. Would love a new pb and maybe even go for the sub 3.15, not being too greedy am I

Had to sweat this one out for the chip time but it came in :-) St. Peter's 2:59:18 3:12:19 3:14:59 3:17:53 61.77
