Dave A PB'd my home race in 2007 by nearly 3 minutes. The way I feel at the moment I reckon I could go sub 36, ut a new PB by 1 secon d will do.

PJL After breaking the magic 40 barrier last August, what's the next goal? Well, if I find a nice fast course (tick) and feel good on the day (tbc), I reckon close to 38 just might be possible. So without wanting to get too carried away, I'd settle for sub-39. *** Unfortunately Mrs PJL broke her elbow 2 days before the race so family duties took precedence. Trehis A great race but I did not perform as well as I should have, this was meant to be one of my main target races for this year, so the least I should have done was to have beaten the time I ran at Bolsover in December. Unaffiliated 38:18 38:18 40:33 70.87

Skunk slower by 3 seconds versus last year. Jesus i found that a difficult one. Between 4k - 6k i was struggling, and had to do a have a little walk (never ever done that). Bit brassed off but not bad for my 1st race of 2008, and i think i blew a few cobwebs off. New trainers worked well too, shame they took 2 weeks to run in, but never mind they were broken in for the race so thats all that counts!!! Wakefield Triathlon Club 39:45 45:51 48:40 54.25
SimonF Part of Blackpool Marathon Training********Thought I was on for a faster time - might try blaming the headwind on the way back as I failed to reverse split for the first time in this race, but think this was probably about right based on where I am with my training. Baldy Dave A little disappointed but I did not have anything left in the tank to fight against the headwind in the back 5k. Still it is the 2nd fastest I have ever ran so I can't be too unhappy. Unaffiliated 41:54 42:39 41:53 42:39 65.25

Homer Looking for sub-43 as part of a build up to a great 2008. UPDATE: Not bad with that wind - still a PB by over a minute FERC 42:10 43:14 42:59 43:14 61.42
Cavey Garmin time, but has got to be within 10 secs or so of chip time, so its a sub 45 whatever!! Really chuffed with that as I still felt hungover this morning, and a bit blocked up from the cold. Felt okay until about 3.5k, then struggled a bit, but picked it up again at the turn around. The last 200m was horrendous, uphill into the wind, but I did enough to sneak under 45 mins! trazza Was a tough last few km's due to the wind. A bit disappointed with time, but then reassured by many that they too had found it tough and had also been disappointed. And I didn't feel as downbeat about running as I have done recently. So hopefully the mojo is returning....

Mushroom Sorry to those that bet on me but I was no way near pb running. That said, this was my fastest 10k time since Apr2003, so I'm working at it..! 1st half in 25:11, 2nd half in 23:55. Started with the aim of keeping around 5min per km with a view to speed up later on and it worked well. Vegetarian Cycling & AC 45:07 47:38 52:00 49:06 55.05

Karen Fist time doing this race - wasn't expecting a PB due to lack of consistency in training through the last couple of months so not unduly unhappy with time. Nice flat course though when I turned the corner to run the last 5k there was a biting wind to run into - nice.

9am start was a bit of a killer so was a good girl and only had the one Jim Beam last night - Think I'll have a few more a bit later though :0) Rothwell & District Harriers 52:47 54:54 1:00:00 54:54 57.41

Lapsed Athlete The wheels fell of big time. I was stiffening up at 2k but thought it was just with going out too fast, unfortunately that wasn't the case and I continued to get worse throughout. Somewhere between 7k and 8k my right let stiffened up totally and I felt like I was dragging it. My training has been good and I felt great at the start so I do not have a clue what went wrong.

Apologies to all who placed a bet on me...I'm absolutely gutted. Unaffiliated 55:35 1:15:53 57:59 1:15:53 38.18

Finished in 1 hr 2 mins 59 secs (chip time) - could have gone faster, died a bit at the 8km mark but finished strongly. Strong wind on the run back, especially in the last two km. Unaffiliated 1:02:05 1:02:05 1:00:00 1:02:59 43.19
