Hills of Death (HOD) In 3 words tough tough tough, hardest run of my life. Got stitched by Sango on this as he says ' you'll like this leg' yes I am masochistic that's why. Sango ran first leg came in 5th Will get there had a good run on the very tough 2nd leg (mountain leg) I believe we were comfortable top 20. Then I wizzed off at 7 min miling and hit a HODl bosh deep breathing clentched teeth painful expressions. Then I heard steps behind me both of us couldn't speak a sort of acknowledgement of the difficulty we found ourselves in. Past one who was struggling. Wizzed down the hills grinded up them about 7 hills 3 massive ones. Thought I went the wrong way asked some ramblers they said yes you are going right way. Up one last almost vertical hill you could see the changeover point sped up. Lots of Heavy breathing at the finishpoint. It was 7 miles ish not 7.7 Mike K took over ran hard and collapsed 2 miles from home took 20 mins to get going again a young lady helped him home and he collapsed at finish. Mike went to Hospital today !!! Very tough Big shout out to all those who did the WHOLE thing Barnet & District AC, Riverside Runners 1:07:36 1:05:00
