Hoping to improve on last years time of 53.47. Unfortunately I didn't (sorry betters, including myself!). Enjoyed this mostly off-road race, except for the mud bath of a finish round a football pitch! Good to meet up with some fetchies today!
Web Site not giving any information on this . Any chance of an online entry ??????

Sandhra gave me the nod about www.entrycentral.com - see you all there.

Very nearly killed myself with the flying start - 23.27 to the 5k mark , but a horrible crawl home with 3 walking stops . Poor tactics I think . Don't even remember the finish . Liked the race very much , and all the nice people , but thought the mud lap would qualify as "cruel and unusual " punishment.

*Update* Official time 51'25 . Got my own timing wrong - I don't even remember pressing the button at the end. Much happier now
Had an excellent run today and enjoyed the race. I thought a PB was in the bag until the damn swamp over the last 400m. Nice to see the organisers have addressed the issue from last year were the course was too short but did they have to add on a swamp! (Finished 7th out of 362)
Great fun, well organised race. Last few hundred yards through the mud was a leg killer. Will be do this one again next year, and would recommend it to any one who like a nice 10km off road.
first ever 10k so don,t know what will happen.Really enjoyed it, the mud was not to bad apart from the end, great to get encouragement from fellow fetchies when you meet them on the out and back course. Will definately do again.
Big Al Widepants
All going well up to the turn but the uphill in the last K and the swamp conditions for the last 400m did me in.
Ally C
Went off too fast, struggled from 7K in. Outside my predicted time but a PB nevertheless.
Big C
First 10k race since April. My Marathon training program states I should be aiming for 55min (dies laughing). However I should topple my (admittedly soft) PB, and would hope to wobble through the 1 hour barrier. *update* Phew, didn't quite make the hour - thought I was on for it and then they directed us round the huge and muddy footie pitch. Delighted with the 4 minute PB, though (not least because I don't have to buy you lot a round!). Great race and lovely to meet Tigger, Dyslexic and fellow fetchies. Also great admiration for the fetchie who was haring it along near the front when I'd done about 3.5km! Woo and indeed hoo. Watch time.
Fat Old Man
First 10k. My "just get round without dying" programme for the Lochaber Marathon tells me I should be running this distance around this time, so we'll see what happens. Given current pace (if it can be called that) would be pleased tofinish in 1:10. But given that I am a fat old man, will be happy just to finish.
Slower than hoped but not surprised given the recent lurgy and the amount of mud on that last wee bit! First half was waaaay to fast for me and I burnt out on the last mile. Finish was better organised this time but what was with the mud?! Glad of the Caramel Wafer and crisps (which got demolished on the way home) and good to meet so many Fetchies too.
plodding on
Not hoping for anything spectacular at this just want to get round
