Gobi measured as 10.08 miles. 3rd senior man and 6th overall Plan was just to run on feel but keep pace around 4min per km pace, LOL NOPE ran well from the start and just focused on keeping my pace steady. By 5km I had settled in around 3.50 pace so decided to keep it there no matter what was in front of me. For the last 5km that was basically back up hill. SparkyMark No bets as this is not a PB course from what I have heard. Doing this as I have not raced for a while and using it as a good training run. Hilly course. UPDATE measured as 10.15, so my pacing was very slightly out. tried to keep as close as I could to 7 min/m. Couse was hilly and similar to Witney 10. Last year I ran 1:30 on that course so shows level of improvement since then. Was on my own for practically the whole race, so no one to pull me along. Pleased with the run on such a hilly course and only 2 mins outside my PB. Job done in terms of a quick training run. Rain made things interesting, along with the ford between 6 and 7. My feet were already wet so ran through it :-) Good to see RachE, Gobi and bridget. Especially well done to bridget for an 11 min PB - fantastic result! Ultra Sparkly Bridget (USB) PB was set some time ago and have managed 1:41 for 10 miles during a 1/2 mara in early April. This one has some hills though hence the more conservative prediction. Sound be good for a bet though. *Update* Well it was wet with streams and lakes on the road and it was hilly but I still managed a huge PB!
