Duncs Very pleased with my first marathon. Thought at half way that it was going OK but didn't know what to expect. Apart from a couple of dips in my energy levels and some extra long miles near the end, I still managed a sprint finish. Wish I could walk properly now though. 100 Marathon Club, Highland Hill Runners 3:23:46 3:58:21 4:20:00 3:58:21 51.46

Highlanderchick The scenery is beautiful, the weather held with only a little drizzle towards Inverness. Some very supportive and friendly people met along the route. The only thing that let me down was my right hip injury. So glad I managed just under the 5 hrs. Will do better next year, must get hip fixed. Lakeshore Runners 4:10:39 4:56:54 5:00:00 4:56:54 45.30

Nessie Training fell well short of the plan, but due to an enforced walk break between 15 and 16.5 miles (popped my ankle while stretching a tight calf), I ran most of the last 6 miles (which I've never done in a marathon before). I can now picture myself one day running the whole way in a marathon, which up to now I've had trouble getting my head around.

Fab race - a must do for any marathoner. Unaffiliated 5:17:00 5:50:00 5:00:00 5:50:00 38.66
