Go-KL Believe I am running leg 6, never done this before as I have always been either injured or away, but by all accounts it is a tough but enjoyable race. If I have a good race I reckon I could be closer to 62 minutes, but I am factoring for the hills. POST RACE: Leg 6 of the Hilly 100 race through the Cotswolds. Started the leg in second position around 4 minutes behind the leader, and I was given regular updates about how well I was doing. A strange race really as aside from 3 B team runners I was racing against nothing more than the clock. A downhill first mile that Garmin alarmed me with a 05:11 reading! (More like 05:35 when corrected) warned me that there would be a sting in the tale. I was running strongly until around 8 miles then two big hills near the end saw me run out of talent and I cracked quite badly - annoyed too as I was unaware quite how close I was to finishing the leg. Oh and a very stupid driver of a large estate car nearly took me out because she was too busy chatting on her mobile to notice my presence, Your registration number has been noted and I have witnesses!
