Windsurfin' Susie Wind force 6-7 SW. Very tough running into the wind. I reckon it cost me a minute - that's the windiest I've ever raced in. Finished in 21:04 2nd W45. Not the greatest time, but I had one hell of race with Tina my closest W45 (Jane Harrop is nationally ranked and I don't think I'm going to get near her this year). I overtook Tina at the start, then she overtook me at 1km and I took her back shortly afterwards. She then took me at 3km as we struggled with the wind and held me until the last 100m when I found an extra gear and pulled back 10m in a sprint for the line. Very satisfying. Lots more to come from me for the rest of the series, but there didn't seem too much of the marathon in my legs. Victory AC 20:22 20:30 21:04 74.42
