Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

First 10k PB this year! Great conditions - cool and damp with a light breeze. Good little race, building up quite an entry - they could probably do with moving the start and finish somewhere a bit wider for next year. Splits were : 3.31 3.50 3.57 4.00 4.05 4.01 4.22 4.03 4.18 4.00 so started too quick, but maybe 40mins is on with a sensible start? 23rd place out of 200 starters.
This is allegedly fast and flat. Might be worth a bet - especially as I haven't really tried hard in a 10k before, except the weather is not looking too clever.

Yay! Cool and slightly drizzly - perfect. Race plan went awol - got stuck at the start because we got funelled down a narrow lane, and I panicked and zoomed off as soon as I could to catch up to where I should have been, and ovedid it a bit. Hung on at the end for a very respectable time. Very pleased. I hope I won lots of credits for you gamblers.
A tough finish a steady climb back into village for 2k so touch disappointed as i was through 5k 30 seconds under 5k pb
Nice steady drizzle kept the temperature under control!
