Garfield Should be interesting to see whether I can time my food intake right this year. Last year I messed it up and wound up running on empty...very painful experience! This worked sooo well - I took the other half's advice of dextrose tablet shortly before starting and it tided me over very well...and I even beat my prediction which was based in part on last week's Chase race. Hills of Death (HOD) Work are getting free places be rude not too ! Should be on form for this UPDATE Not bad considering I had a cold Mon/Tues and not much training in last 3 weeks. Ran a fairly good race Mile 1 6.40 Mile 2 7.09 Mile 3 6.54 the last bit I made 200 meters LONGER than 5k totalled 3.23 on the Garmin Confused you will be - it was like that last year. Jimbo Perfect running conditions and a fast, flat course. Should have been a PB race, but I caught up in the congestion at the start and didn't get a clear running lane. Decided to use it as a training run, but still had a final blast and managed to cover the last 2 k in 8:11. Finished in a reasonable 22:34. Must get to the start earlier next year!
