Beccals now seen weather forecast and as it is cooling down and there is a chance of rain I think I might try to improve my PB. Have been training a lot more so I hope I won't be too tired. Bet with caution! **UPDATE** Very pleased with outcome, training is paying off. Temperature little too warm for my liking, therefore I drank plenty right from the word go and managed to stay hydrated, think that really helped. Found 11th mile hard but picked up pace again for last mile. Well organised race. Unaffiliated 1:43:12 1:45:20 1:53:55 1:50:55 58.69

BigG Have taken a much more relaxed attitude to training of late and not sure how this will affect my times. I feel in good shape though, so you never know...
Strange race. 10/676 and felt like I ran a good race, gaining quite a few places over the second half, but the time was slow. Had to run on my own from 4 miles, hich probably didn't help and the weather was warm. North Yorks Moors AC 1:17:26 1:18:47 1:18:30 1:19:52 72.59
Boba Enjoyed the race as usual, felt good and ran an even pace for 10 miles, after the hill the heat got to me and had to slow. Still managed a best time for the course.
Sorry to everyone who bet on me. I tried so hard - I will do this Cleethorpes AC 1:38:20 1:40:10 1:39:59 1:45:10 55.85
Cavey The plan was to do a long slow run at about 10min/mile pace. Luckily Su was there to keep me in check early on, as it was I died on my arse at about 10 miles, but again Su was there in the last couple of pull miles to pull me to the finish. The course was a bit dull, very flat long straight stretches, and not much shade from the midday sun, but there were water stations almost every mile!! All in all i'm a bit disappointed with how hard I found it even running at that pace, but it has given me a bit of confidence ahead of Belper. Handsworth Roadhogs RC 1:37:46 1:51:49 2:08:16 45.20
Clarky Entered. I feel in good shape/fast course so, will be going all out to achieve a new PB. *Update* Went well averaging just under 7mm upto mile 10 then slowed a little. Thanks for all the support! North Derbyshire RC 1:30:44 1:30:44 1:34:00 1:31:58 63.05

Craggy Running this race for the 17th consecutive year!
10/8/07 - suffered with fever Weds & Thurs, whole body aches today. Want to keep the streak going though so will be on the start line, but forget any target time.
12/8/07 - As expected - slowest HM for 11 years but a most enjoyable race anyway. Very well organised with plenty of water stations and marshalls. Skegness & District Running Club 1:14:48 1:16:49 1:25:05 68.52

giggsy Done this the last two years and PB'b each time - apart from the Brass Monkey Half this is one of the fastest courses around. Hoping to get into the 1:24's in the build up to the Nottingham Marathon in September......
Unofficial time but very much doubt it'll change much. Sorry to dissapoint everyone who bet on me, but the heat got the better of me in the end - was on course for 1:24 ish until I hit the small hill at 9 1\2 miles then I found out how much damage the heat had done and how little I had left, seemed to go backwards from that point onwards, perhaps I need to do more hill work????
Gutted not to have got the PB but looking on the brightside only 4 or so seconds off last years PB which I got in much cooler temperatures (assisted by the rain) and the legs definately don't feel as bad as they did after last years run. Roll on the Great Yorkshire Run 10k in September as a warm up to Nottingham.....updated with official time, can't complain at 41st! Kimberworth Striders RC 1:17:05 1:25:46 1:24:30 1:25:48 67.65
Greenman First half since beginning of Jul and was pleased to get around in 1:25. Good conditions, although the wind was strong in places. Well organised with plenty of drinks stations as usual. Grantham Running club 1:20:38 1:22:52 1:25:45 70.26

Not in the in crowd So sorry to those who bet on me. I won't bore you with the details but it was a total utter disaster from start to finish The silver lining was the fact that being very much at the back I had the photographers all to myself and had loads of photos taken. :) Hopefully some will be flattering enough to post on here. To be honest I am just glad to be alive and kicking due to a very near death experience on the journey home. Something like that really makes you realise just what is important and what is not. So I nearly had a PW with this race, so what. Gives me plenty of scope to improve from now on. Unaffiliated 2:17:54 2:19:21 2:10:00 2:29:35 45.84
rollerman Great race, fantastic marshalls and loads of water/sponge stops. Met two lovely ladies from Mablethorpe running club, hello agaian ladies. Not a record beating time but considering the Achilies being tender and did the Jagiermiester friday night all in all two good days running, well I think so anyway.....
