Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

First time over this distance and I really enjoyed it! (trying to make a gradual step up from 10k in anticipation of the Great North Run in September!) Aimed just to run the whole distance so was really pleased with my time! (even if I did finish 775th out of 880!!) Lovely run, nice and flat and a really scenic route - didn't even notice the miles go by! Family who didn't take part in the run also had a good day - the Double Decker bus cafe was a real winner!
SuperCaz
Hardest race I have ever done. Far too hot.
Sid
First race since I tore my calf muscle. Happy with my time as I stuck to my race plan of 9 min miles to get around and finish!
eMpTy
Always struggled a bit in this one, normally because of the heat but nice race. Update: Well, given the recent weather this was a hot day. However, managed to maintain a steady pace and except for mile 9 managed this. Really pleased with this, mastered the beast that ths race was to me and a PB to boot :o)
The Wizard
This will be my first race in over 15 years.
Scarey
1st race upping the level, moving from 10K up to 10 miles....not sure how well I'll do really..??
dave the flower
After weeks of not much training, I can't be too disappointed! Just short of my target but a new PB! Mind you last 10 mile race was November 2005!
Puffing Bertie
Christ that was blummin' hard work..........in fact i forgot how hard running on trail was grrrrrrrrrrr
Rubbish time, rubbish race and even worse i got clocked doing far too much down the M3 by Mr plod.......bu@@er!
Im going to bed till today is over! :-(
Blackers800
Never done this one before - always worried about the heat. Is it hilly? If it's not too hilly and not too hot, might even have a pop at the V40 prizes!! You never know.... :)

Well, that was a fantastic race. Quite hot on the day, but not as hot as previous years, as I understand. Quite hard work - the gravel is loose in places. Brilliant atmosphere - real summer fair material. Great marshalling. I can see this one going on for ever, with it's police and road closure-free format. Do it!
harrump
Run the night before with club
Hairy Legs
Nice race, well organised and marshalled. Warm day but pleased with a new PB!! Only comment can they get someone else to do the announcing!!
kaichandler
I really enjoyed this race because of a) the great organisation and marshalling b) the beautiful course location c) great atmosphere d) weather not too hot e) double decker catering bus at the the end. Free range bacon and egg in wholemeal muffins after ten miles were highly memorable!
Swain
Hard work for me! First 10M and needed water.
hillstrider
Not quite as hot as usual. Ran at a good steady pace and was pleased with finish time.
chrisallen
Lovely course, apart from nearly being kicked by a horse! Quite warm but not as hot as I believe the previous year was. Good crowds at the finish. Very enjoyable race.
