clare1976 Very warm evening and I have not run much recently due to injury, so given that and having picked up a cold (in the summer?!) I was pleased with this. The actual race was 5.7k, which I did in 29.21. Not sure how they could get away with it being so long. Garmin km lap splits were spot on right up to 4km, then the last km came and went, and I was already on 5.2km before I got to the 500m to go sign!! Not great mentally when you build up to having 1 km to go, only to find I have nearly another 1km!! Everybody else I know who measure dthis said the same. That aside, great to be back running and this is soemthing for me to build on for the summer. This may be the only PB I get for a while, so I should make the most of it!!
