Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Kittenheels Kath
This felt like good, hard work. Thought I was doing well in the last km until two ladies passed me chatting amiably! Can't seem to get anywhere near my PB though. Thanks to Greg for letting me catch up with him, and Puff for her company, and nice to meet RFJ and jnr.
funkin
Was hoping for anything around 20:00. Well, that didn't happen. I'd not run for a week and have an injury at present. Well, that's my excuse!

Ran BPTT without a SDM, wanting to see how good a feel I had for Marathon Pace. The aim was to get round in 26:20, which is 5:20/k pace. I was very very chuffed to hit the time absolutely on the nail. It's only when I got home that I realised that 5:20 over 5k is 26:40, not 26:20... Morale : it's bliddy hard to go slow in a 5k race when there's people zooming past you all the time...
RFJ
Ran round with RFJ Jnr for his first BPTT, had a great time (so did he).

Great to meet up up many new people, Greg, Puffing Beartie, Kath, Holloywood. It all makes for a better day, then went on to do the Hants XC lge in Reading......
fatface
First time at Bushy Park for me. Cool day with quite a bit of breeze and I thought I'd worked a lot harder than I should of needed to for my recorded time.
Sezz
Not run a 5k for a year and as my speed as decreased considerably over the last 12 months, I wondered if I might not even get sub 30! However, managed 28:08 which I'm fairly pleased with, even though it was flippin tough and I was fading fast at the end.
GAZGIB
Ran the race with my daughter but dont think I would have been that much quicker on my own.
Kirsty
Another slowest bptt ever for me - 5 seconds slower than last week. And I know exactly where those 5 seconds went - I had to stop to do up both laces due to lack of concentration at start i.e standing around chatting.
Was saving self for Surrey League xc this pm.
Puffing Bertie
Was ok for most of it then the last km i just lost it...or so it felt :-(

Was suppose to take it easy cos of tomorrow but as usual i got caught up and ran with Kath, bet i will regret going at that pace in the morning!
Kinsey
Ran with Sarah and did it in about 30 minutes - quite windy, and there were lots of people there!
