StringSideUp First marathon for me...is this a good idea?? No idea of time. /// Made it comfortably to eight miles, then everything from hips to knees hurt, though not all at the same time, for the next 18 miiles. Everyone I could see was walking up hills, or even slopes, which made it easy to follow that bit of advice. But almost as painful to walk as to run.... Lovely course, stunningly beautiful. Ultra Kanga Kazzaaaaah!! Woohoo, that was such fun!! Now had I been able to train properly and not been an offroad/hill virgin I might have been a bit faster. Main aim was just to get round (esp having not run over 20 miles since FLM), secondary aim (and one I thought unachievable) was to go sub-6. To say I'm chuffed would not be an understatement 100 Marathon Club 4:06:30 4:14:07 5:47:06 40.70

PSC more of a walk than a run, but great fun with some fantastic people. Probably a bit of a tough one, but as a first mara it was a corker :-) Pirate Ship Of Fools 4:07:59 6:31:00 6:31:00 33.11

Birdypie Wow that was brilliant again! Went in to it with a slight head cold and have come out of it with a bad cold but it was still worth it. Weather was perfect and the Downs looked quite splendid. I was pleased to find myself running fairly comfortably up to CP3 but the wheels fell off once i'd completed the steps. I decided given my slight head spin on the first of the sisters to just take it even more easy and finish in good shape. This I managed...and bagged a ten min faster time than last year.

Wonderful. Though I really am taking a break from this one next year...no honest!! Unaffiliated 4:32:52 5:35:00 5:35:00 40.39

angelis a cross country marathon that the event runners say puts an extra 40 mins on your normal marathon time. make sure you stop for the tea breaks. great fun race especially the rice pudding at the end. Unaffiliated 2:55:06 3:50:00 4:10:00 4:13:09 50.72

GOM. Really have no idea what time I will do this in. So this is very much a guess from what I have heard about the route.

Run completed, tough course and am so glad that I did it. Hadn't really done the training leading up to this, so was a real blag. But am pleased with the overall time. Ely Tri Club 3:36:57 4:25:09 4:15:00 4:25:09 46.69

Hoaxster Should be a PB but probably not by much. * Update* Hellishly hard at the end - there was a 7.50 mile in there somewhere. Um, still fuzzy but huffah! *Another Update* Official gun time 4:37 (my arse!) Unaffiliated 4:23:53 4:32:04 4:30:00 4:32:04 44.81
Bottom Trotter What a great race, a real challenge just when you think it couln't get harder along comes the seven sisters took it really very steady as it was New York next week Unaffiliated 3:31:24 3:38:58 5:00:00 4:32:00 54.88
bruno. Started out maybe a little too fast but did really well on all downhills. The uphills were a bit of a struggle towards the end, but overall very pleased. Unaffiliated 3:43:21 4:36:15 5:00:00 4:47:00 42.35
