Dochart rumour around me had it that the delay in starting this race was due to the bloke who knew how to operate the new chip timing system going off for a coffee. meanwhile us runners were left to chill - literally - at the start line on this cool morning. when the race did get going the first half mile or so was spent dodging through the crowd of runners. then after the two mile mark the short 'hill' took more out of me than i was happy with (note to self - more hill training in 2007!). i faded badly in the last mile, despite it being all downhill, and finished dead on 28 mins. overall, pleased with the time as it shows progress from last year, but a bit disappointed i didn't find a last ounce of effort to duck under the 28 mins. 216/754 Stragglers 25:54 28:00 32:00 28:00 65.00
Qwerty Need to check official time, too busy getting mars bar at the finish to check the screen. Great course 'cept for the hill bit - although I managed NOT to walk; fabulous local support out there.
